Hey Hey Crafters!  Scrappin' Toxic Midge here and  I am thrilled to be sharing the WASHI Up challenge with you this week!  

The challenge this week is to use Washi tape on any HALLOWEEN altered project (no cards or layouts) and incorporate the color Purple  I love all the fall colors, but I really like mixing in a little purple.  This challenge is supposed to be FUN, Fun, fun and something a little different!  Get your projects linked up quick and join in the good times!  I can't wait to see what crafty creations you all come up with!  Here is mine:


I used a metal chalkboard, some fabric & ribbon strips and WASHI!!! LOL  I just Love this time of year and can't wait to create more "spooky" projects!

Here are the rules of the challenge ~ You MUST use Washi Tape, and incorporate the color Purple, and it must be an altered project, NO Cards or Layouts!  The Washi does Not have to be purple just as long as you have purple (any shade) on your project somewhere!

Washi Up Wednesday Challenge

Hello Everyone ...it's Beverly from Yorkie Mom Scrapping.

I am super excited to be a part of the Washi Up! Design Team and hope that you will play along with me.

For this week's challenge I decided to alter a swatch book for a sweet friend of mine, so let's see what you can create with your Washi!  You can use any colors you like and if you don't have any Washi tape you can get it here.




For this challenge you must use Washi tape and you must alter something other then a card.  The challenge will end on Tuesday (night) 09/17/13, so make sure you get projects in by then.  

 I had a great time altering this swatch book, and hope that you join in on the fun and share with us what you make at the Washi Up! Blog.

Washi Up! Wednesday Challenge

Hi everyone it's Sherri from The Squeaky Scrapper and welcome to the Washi Up! Challenge  for this week.  

The challenge this week is to use Washi tape to make a clean and simple CARD,  you can use any color combo that you like.

Haaaaaappy Birthday!!

Hi Everybody!
It's Jenny from Crazy About Cricut here, I'm excited that today is my turn to bring you a Washi Up! project :)  *Today is my daughter's 11th birthday, so I made a birthday gift bag just for her!

Here is my project:

*The Royal Shoppe - MME Washi Tape, Action Wobbles
*SVG Cutting Files - bag
*Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge - number candles
*Nestabilites - mat shapes
*DCWV - patterned cardstock
*Core'dinations - solid cardstock

*I added some washi to the handles, then hand cut them into little flags, so cute!!!

*I used this cute yellow polka dot washi to make a cute little border.
*I also stamped the Happy Birthday, and doodled with a white gel pen.

Wednesday Washi Up! Challenge

Hi everyone it's Sherri from The Squeaky Scrapper with this weeks Washi Up! Challenge.  

The challenge this week is to use Washi tape to make flowers.  Your project can be anything to qualify but your flowers must be made using Washi Tape.  You can use any color combo that you like.

Altered Turquoise Challenge!?!

Hey Hey Crafters!  Scrappin' Toxic Midge here and  I am sooooo excited since this is my first official challenge as a member of the Fantastic WASHI Up design team.  

The challenge this week is to use Washi tape on any altered project (no cards or layouts) and incorporate the color Turquoise  Turquoise is one of my favorite colors!  This challenge is supposed to be FUN, Fun, fun and something a little different!  Get your projects linked up quick and join in the good times!  I can't wait to see what crafty creations you all come up with!  Here is mine:
I used a "naked" wooden "P", painted, masked, flowered and WASHI'ed!!! LOL  I am thrilled to have this done, it has been sitting around for months.  It will look so good in my living room (when the painter gets done)

Here are the rules of the challenge ~ You MUST use Washi Tape, and incorporate the color TURQUOISE, and it must be an altered project, NO Cards or Layouts!  I'm switching it up a little!  The Washi does Not have to be turqoise just as long as you have turquoise (any shade) on your project somewhere!

Washi Up Wednesday Challenge with Scrappin Madge...

Washi UP! Hi Friends! Scrappin Madge here and today I  wanted to showcase what I made for the Washi Up Challenge! Do you love washi tape? Then this is the challenge for you!!! Be sure to take the Challenge {HERE}


The challenge this week is to use Washi tape in colors or Red White and Blue and everything else is Anything Goes.  You MUST use Washi to participate.  Super easy huh?? It can be ANYTHING but has to use the colors Red White and Blue.  I can't wait to see what you all come up with. 

I created a mini album with envelopes and chipboard, pattern paper, and embellished with Washi Tape (Red, White and Blue) some flowers and some fun sticker sayings. I created a quick YouTube video to showcase this album since it has so many different pages in it.

Washi UP! Wednesday Challenge

Hi everyone, it's Sherri from The Squeaky Scrapper with this weeks Washi UP! Challenge. 

The challenge this week is to use Washi tape in the lower half of your CARD.  You MUST create a card to participate.  Super easy huh?? They can be going any direction you like but they must be in the LOWER HALF OF THE CARD.  I can't wait to see what you all come up with. 

I used mine like I would use ribbon on my card.  You can use any color or pattern of Washi tape for this.

Washi Wednesday Challenge!

The challenge for this week is........

Make a Scene!

Make the washi tape part of a scene.  It can be any type of project like home decor or a party decoration, but it must use washi tape.

Don't have any Washi tape, and wanna get some of your own?? You can purchase all kinds of designs of Washi tape here.

Here's how my project turned out:

*Best of Pixar Cricut cartridge - Nemo
*My Mind's Eye - washi tape
*Core'dinations - solid cardstock



*To get this look, I first layed the washi tape down on a piece of cardstock big enough for the die to fit.
*Next I layed the die down on the area with the washi tape, and cut it out as I normally would.

Washi UP! Challenge #11

Hi Everybody!
It's Jenny from Crazy About Cricut here, and I'm excited that today is my turn to bring you the Washi Up! Challenge :)  Washi tape comes in sooooooooo many different colors and patterns!  Which will be handy for today's challenge.  The challenge for this week is.......


Double Washi!

You must use at least TWO different types of washi tape on your project.  They can be two patterns, two solids, or one of each as long as they are different.

Don't have any Washi tape, and wanna get some of your own?? You can purchase all kinds of designs of Washi tape here.

Here's how my project turned out:

*Kaiser Craft - bling
*Recollections - cardstock

*To get this look, I first layed the washi tape down on a piece of cardstock big enough for the die to fit.
*Next I layed the die down on the area with the washi tape, and cut it out as I normally would.


*These colors and patterns come together, so it was easy to coordinate!  SO PRETTY!!


*I popped up the shape for added dimension.

Washi Up! Challenge #8


Hi Everybody!
Jenny from Crazy About Cricut here, and I'm excited that today is my turn to bring you the Washi Up! Challenge :)  Washi tape comes in sooooooooo many different colors and patterns!  It's also good on a ton of different surfaces.  I decided to try it on a candle!  So the challenge for this week is.......


Valentine's Day

Share how you use Washi tape on your Valentine's Day project.  You MUST use Washi tape on your project, and it has to have a Valentine's Day theme.

Here's how my project turned out:


*Washi Tape - Recollections
*Jaded Blossom - Valentine Treats stamp set
*candle - Dollar Tree
*tissue paper
*wax paper

*I first did this stamping technique of stamping on tissue paper, and using wax paper.  Then I combined it with Washi tape for a cool look!

*The title, and lips are both a part of this fun stamp set :)

Washi Up Wednesday!

Happy New Year everybody, Its time for another Washi Up Challenge, its my turn to showcase my project for the Challenge. For my Washi Up Theme today is snowflakes washi tape. It has been very cold here in TN we had some snow flurries and wind and that would cut thru you if you stayed outside long enough.   I love the colors of the tape. The cute snow bunny is from Meljens Designs, I thought this image was perfect for this digi tape, I used my copics to color him and some glitter on this fur on his coat. 

Why dont you join in on the Washi Up challenge the theme is snowflakes and lets see what you can come up with using washi tape.
